Thrill of Brazil

Hump-day post.

So this one I actually did for Halloween weekend because it went with my costumes.  Magically, it went with both costumes I had planned for the weekend (Raggedy Ann and a 1920's flapper).  I don't know how I got out of sequence.

Nevermind the open car door in the background.  This is OPI's Thrill of Brazil, and oldie but a goodie.  This is my go-to shade if I can't decide on something or if I just need a quick polish change.  It applies opaque in two coats to a shiny gel.  It's not a creme since it doesn't have that milky quality in the bottle, but this is a classic red manicure color. With the right top coat, very chip resistant.  A timeless shade that will never go out of style that will class up (and sass up) your outfit.  It is, in my opinion, perfect.

I actually found a top coat that was supposed to turn any lacquer into a gel mani, and it actually works.  It's a Sally Hanson product that I found at my local CVS and it made my French manicure last almost two weeks.  I can't even get a solid color to last two weeks, a French manicure usually lasts about two days if I'm lucky.  I went to try to find it at Ulta and the girls there had no idea what I was talking about, so I might just have to see if it's still at my CVS.

This is the only shade I have ever used the entire full sized bottle.  Ever.  I have two in my stockpile just in case it ever gets discontinued, knock on wood.

OPI Thrill of Brazil retails for $8.50 US plus sales tax.
